Playdays
Bouncing, colouring and sticking are just a few of the activities on offer to children at two free play days during the Easter Holidays. The playdays feature face painting, arts and crafts, storytelling and soft play and take place at Alfold Village Hall, Alfold on Tuesday 12 April and Thursday 14 April, both from 12-3pm.
The playdays are fully funded by the Big Lottery Fund so are completely free and no booking is required but parents or carers must attend with their children.
Museums in Farnham and Godalming
Hop along with your children to one of the borough’s museums during the Easter holidays for fun with a difference.
At the Museum of Farnham from Saturday 9 to Thursday 21 April children can take part in an Easter egg hunt, make Easter hats, bunny puppets and much more in ‘Bonnets and Bunnies.’ The event is free and is held from 11am to 3pm but please note the museum is closed on Mondays. No booking is required.
On Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14, from 10am to 4pm, children can try their hand at brass rubbing. There is a charge from £1-£3 per child (depending on the size of the rubbing). Over eights can also take part in one-hour brass rubbing trips to St Andrew’s Church. Contact the museum for more details and how to book.
At Godalming Museum, there will be free Easter crafts and an Easter trail from Tuesday 12 April to Saturday 23 April. Activities run throughout the day from 10am to 5pm and the museum is open Tuesdays to Saturdays, including Good Friday. Entry to the museum is also free.
