Touch, taste and smell the Middle Ages at the Museum of Farnham
The Museum of Farnham is giving children the chance to taste, touch and smell the Middle Ages this half term.
On Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 June the museum in West Street, Farnham is holding free, drop in sessions that provide a medieval adventure. Running from 11am-4pm, children can make a shield with their own coat of arms and feel the weight knights carried on their shoulders as chain mail. Children can also taste and smell the delights of medieval cookery as well as trying their hands at Middle Ages-style spinning and sewing.
Visit the museum’s webpages to find out more about the museum, its exhibitions and activities.
More play and children’s leisure activities
Visit our children’s play pages for ideas of places to go and things to do – from museums to parks, leisure centres and more – many of which are free or low cost. And don’t forget, under eights can still swim for free at Waverley’s leisure centres (registration required).
